Michael was born in Vancouver, and grew up without much communication with his father – just enough to know that his father thought that he was mentally retarded because of his learning disability. Later unemployment, addiction, poor health, inferiority and hatred drove Michael to the Lord. In 2004 he had a personal encounter with God at a downtown Vancouver ministry.
