Growing up with an abusive alcoholic father, Wilfred himself fell to addictions to deal with his heartache. It was his girlfriend, Teresa, a backslidden Christian at the time, who first shared the Gospel with him. Yet he didn't believe, and his life spun out of control to the point of considering suicide. One day in 1997 Wilfred cried out to God. He became sober and began telling others of his personal encounter with Jesus. Soon after Teresa and Wilfred were married.
