Karissa was not walking with God when her mother Delores studied at KBI. The Lord used the people and special events at Bible school to create a thirst in Karissa for spiritual things, and for mission work. In the summer of 2006, she travelled with a team to South Africa for short term ministry. Her overseas experience has deepened her walk with God.
