In Jesus' day the religious leaders laid heavy burdens on the common people by making them obey man-made traditions. People were weary of these "do's and don't’." It was in this context that Jesus called people to take on "His yoke" and learn from Him. David Dunn explains that a primary aspect of Jesus' yoke is "love."
