Though as a child he heard the Gospel many times, Fred did not understand it until he was 16 years old. Later he met Charlotte while he was teaching college in The Pas (MB). Through Freds witness and the witness of some missionaries, Charlotte came to know the Lord. After getting married, they went to Key-Way-Tin Bible Institute to study Gods Word in 1975.
