When Steven turned 18 he left God and his family he got into drugs and alcohol for 18 years. His failing health caused him to realize that he could not continue in the drug scene. He enrolled in a faith-based rehab program called Teen Challenge. Steven recalled how God guided him, provided for him, and drew him back to Christ. As a result, he reconnected with his family and also followed God's plan of going to Bible school.
